There are some wedding days that stay with you long after you pack up your camera, and Denise and Parker’s October 11th celebration at The Knoll Barn in Derby, Vermont is one I’ll never forget. The Perrons created a day that was intentional, heartfelt, relaxed, and overflowing with love—from the way their families showed up for them, to the tiny moments of magic woven throughout.

The weather was the kind you silently hope for but never expect in mid-October—sunny, warm, and absolutely perfect. Their ceremony took place right on Derby Pond, surrounded by turning foliage and the softest breeze. There were small, beautiful signs of Parker's late mother's presence throughout the day. A red dragonfly visited Denise in the bridal suite that morning, and later when I was editing their gallery, I came across two photos of Parker and his dad with red sun flares on the corner that made me stop in my tracks. It felt like she was right there with them.

Denise carried a gorgeous bouquet of red Gerber daisies, white roses, and eucalyptus, while her bridesmaids were dressed in elegant navy blue and held matching red daisies, baby’s breath, and ferns. Their color palette—maroon, navy blue, cream, and soft greenery—was woven into every corner of the day. Inside the barn, Araceli Beauregard of Beauregard Coordination transformed the space with long tables lined in greenery and warm, romantic tones that fit the setting perfectly. It felt intimate and cozy, the kind of atmosphere that invites everyone to settle in and celebrate.

After their lakeside ceremony, guests moved upstairs in the barn for introductions and the first dances. Denise and Parker shared their first dance surrounded by cheers, followed by the sweetest father–daughter moment that brought out more than a few happy tears. Dinner was served downstairs—a delicious Italian buffet by For the Love of Food—and the room buzzed with stories, laughter, and heartfelt speeches. Once everyone returned upstairs, DJ Nix Mix kept the dance floor packed the rest of the night. It was one of those receptions where every time I looked up, someone was doubled over laughing, hugging, or twirling someone they loved. Pure joy.

What stood out the most wasn’t just the perfect weather or the beautiful décor—it was the unmistakable love in every moment. The way Denise and Parker looked at each other. The support surrounding them. The tiny signs that Parker’s mom was watching over. It all layered together to create a day that felt bigger than a wedding. It felt like a celebration of family, connection, and the beginning of a life built with so much heart.

Denise and Parker, thank you for inviting me into such a meaningful day. It was an honor to document your love, your people, and every piece of magic that unfolded. I’m so excited for everything the future holds for the two of you.
