Some weddings are elaborate productions. Others are a breath of fresh air. Emily and My Mai's June wedding at Isham Family Farm in Williston was exactly the latter — and it was absolutely beautiful for it.

Isham Family Farm sits on one of the most quietly stunning pieces of land in Chittenden County. Their ceremony took place on the mountaintop, open sky in every direction and a view that stretched out across the Vermont landscape below. The June sun was bright and full, the kind of midday light that's bold and honest and doesn't let anything hide. It suited Emily and My Mai perfectly.

Soft light purples ran through the details of the day, complemented by wildflower centerpieces that felt completely at home on a Vermont farm. Nothing overdone, nothing unnecessary; just simple, intentional choices that added up to something genuinely lovely. After the ceremony, guests made their way down to the barn for a reception that felt as relaxed and easy as the couple themselves.

And then there was dinner. Wood fired pizza, served right there on the farm — the kind of detail that tells you everything you need to know about who Emily and My Mai are. Unpretentious, warm, and focused entirely on the people in the room rather than the performance of it all. Their guests loved every minute of it.

Isham Family Farm is one of those Vermont venues that does the heavy lifting for you:  the land is so naturally beautiful that every frame has something to work with. Photographing a wedding there in full June sunshine, with wildflowers and mountain views and two people completely at ease with each other, was an absolute joy.
